i used it to hold a fall centerpiece. it was part of a gift for my daughter. i was disappointed that the tray was chipped at one end and showed an unstained portion white.This wooden bowl is handmade and has a rough and rustic finish. Color is lighter than what it looks in picture. I was wanting a more darker wood color so I might end up polishing it. I got this to place on my wood dining table but then placed this on centre table that has marble top because the bottom does not has any lining and would scratch wood surface. Just stick a felt lining if you want to use it on wood.This bowl can be used in many ways. Use it for candies or cookies or place some nice candle holders . I have put some artificial flowers on this but plan to keep changing it with new styles.This dough bowl is super pretty but not very deep at all. I wanted it to be a little deeper but it's super shallow. It's still beautiful and does look good on my table, but can't do as much as I want to with it.This decorative bowl was more rustic and lightweight than I was expecting. It was also longer than I thought. The bowl is stained but not lacquard. I think it will be a great centerpiece.I knew this was rustic; however, it surprised me that it was more rustic than expected. Wood is unfinished/unsealed. But it is a nice decoration, and looking forward to using it for the holiday decorating seasons.When the description says hand made, it means it. These are rough and raw, a tiny bit less finished out than I'd expected. I ended up leaving mine as is, surface-wise (I like the natural grain), but I did put felt feet on the bottom to protect this from scratching my wooden table. Other than that, this is good looking, and I'd order again.Very gorgeous table decor bowl.I got the size 31.5inches which is just right size for my giant farm style dining table.The design is good but the wood piece is not smooth enough. The edges are rough.
