I have been using this JFC brand of Panko for several years now. I have tried several others types/brands and stayed with this brand. Why? It consistently delivers the same product qualities I like--it tastes and smells fresh (no rancid shortening smell); it is made with few ingredients (white flour, palm oil, sugar cane, yeast and salt); it performs beautifully when I make butterflied shrimp, pork cutlets and fried chicken tenders (nice and golden) because it is a light crumb that adheres lightly and perfectly to the egg coating mix; I have added it to salmon/crab cakes to retain internal moisture and for holding the cakes together; and lastly, the product doesn't contain any herbs or spices which means that I am free to season differently each time I use it according to the dish being prepared. I enjoy cooking with it and love the results.
