I used the Silpat for over a year with mostly successful results. I make grilled cheese or thaw frozen food mostly bread. I always had the issue of the bread/dough staying wet or uncooked at the bottom. So I was very excited to see a gridded silpat was made. I thought because of the gridded design the surface of the bread/taco that sits on the liner would be ventilated enough to bake or at least dry. It doesn't at all. And if you put any cheese on the bread, once it is melt it will go in between the gridlines and stick there, good luck trying to get it out, even brushing doesn't work. Also this one is in darker color than Silpat, in my experience, because over a year of regular use, although nonstickness is not lost, the food residues get stuck in the crevices of the material and turn brown. No detergent, brushing or bleaching helps to clean.I bought this to make bagels. Yummy home-made hand-rolled bagels. Use it in combination with a perforated baking sheet and bagels come out super awesome. I haven't used it to bake anything else. I use stoneware for my chocolate chip cookies. Yummy home-made warm from the oven chocolate chip cookies. So hungry!it does a nice work, but is a pain to clean it.I have used this product a couple times and I love it! I am far from a baker, but the results I get from using this product definitely shows otherwise. Absolutely no sticking AT ALL and bakes so evenly as mentioned. The clean up is quick and easy and I have recommended it to many others already. Definitely a must buy!!!
