If this things exterior didn't get so hot and had removable plates it would get 5 stars, but I think they want you using cooking oil or spray to make it more non stick and lightly wiping it after use, rather than washing them in the dishes like other models, because that tends to remove all the stuff on it and make it anyways. Some people I have noticed have complained that their omelettes were not that great but I must say those people are just haters and need to read the instructions and pamphlet, I'm an average joe guy who sucks at cooking and great at making breakfast and easy stuff like eggs, bacon and pancakes, and I made praise worthy omelets my first try, all my friends were amazed and were giving big compliments. Just use two eggs per omelette and then small amounts of things like little handfuls of cheese, baby spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, chives, green onions, put a little bit of butter or milk (I like almond milk) to make it a little creamier and fluffier, I know some people recommend putting a little bit of water in the mix to do the same thing. It is very easy to naturally want to overflow this thing, but just start out small and get a feel for how much this thing can really fit inside it before it begins to burst, each omelette I make is just all the ingredients mixed in a regular cereal bowl per omelette. For the waffles just make sure all the batter is evenly spread across the top, it will fill in the spaces by itself, I thought I had to put in extra to fill in the upper half of the waffle iron at first but overflowed it right away, but its real easy to clean if your using oil, I use coconut spray oil and avacado oil (healthier for you). The outside gets really really hot so be careful but when I'm done with it I just tuck it away in its designated space I have in the corner of my counter far removed and illuminate the element of danger, but this thing is very fast and makes breakfast for what seems like a whole army of friends just one after the other really quickly, especially if you have everything set up in advance ready to go and pre mixed.
