A modern-day punk rock masterpiece, F.Y.P's Toilet Kids Bread, released in 1996, is the work of three immature pseudo-geeks from Torrance, CA. Screaming in a high-pitched, nasal voice which sounds like a clown being tortured, singer/guitarist/mastermind Todd Congelliere wrote some truly inspired punk anthems on this feisty, raging classic. "All Grown Up" is a fantastic dork singalong with lyrics like "I don't need your dough/I don't need your toys/I don't need no girls that go for macho boys" and which ends with the refrain "All grown up/And if you don't believe me/Just ask my mommy." Also, there's a sad tale about getting dumped, "New York City"; the anti-jock anthem "Sweetening Your Gas Tank"; some fiery, unbridled hardcore, "Drown a Metermaid"; and their awesome cover of Raw Power's "Fuck Authority," titled "Raw Potore," which sounds like a guard dog flinging itself against a chain-link fence.
