This is a pretty steel ( just like me ), and it works quite well. Sorry to see they discontinued this amazing olive wood line.These are hands-down the best steak knives I have ever held. We had steaks at New Year and wow, these knives cut through the meat so easily! They do not have serrated edges so we weren't sure how good they'd be but after that night, no more concerns.
