I've been wanting to try a recipe from this book for a long time, and the Super Easy Milk Bread was calling out to me! The instructions were easy to follow, and the author also had a YouTube video that I watched for more insight on how to get that pillowy, pull-apart texture of milk bread. Although this is my first time ever baking bread, I think the end result came out pretty decently, and it just goes to show that this is a book in which both novices and experts will find value if they are interested in the art of baking Asian-inspired goods. The pictures of the author's creations are absolutely gorgeous, and she also shares fun, quirky stories behind each recipe. Since I no longer have easy access to these types of Asian treats where I currently live, I am so glad that I at least have this book to help me recreate the foods that I remember so fondly whenever I have a hankering for a taste of home.
