I smoked 4 separate batches of bacon using each of these plus another brand I bought at the same time.Perhaps a real foodie could tell the difference, but we can't. They all taste like bacon and without the labels on the packages, none of us could tell one from the other. Also, the directions could be much better. Not everyone wants to do one enormous batch of meat all at once. I had to take the time to figure out the ratio of ounces of cure to measurements (1/3 cup etc.) then do the math for the piece of meat I had. Just annoying that the mfg. didn't do this for the consumer.
