Easy to control. This is a great wave maker fr the money.I have been using the RW 4 and 8 Jebao wavemakers for at least 8 years and am very pleased with how long they have lasted if you clean them ever couple of months. This different version of Jebao powerhead is a bit finicky when you use the W1 mode of wave making on the controller. Works just as good as other Jebao pumps I have otherwise.I got this wavemaker in place of a Vortech MP10. I'm pleased with the purchase and it really does move a lot of water. These Jebao wavemakers don't have a lot of the bells and whistles that other higher end wavemakers do but there are a few pulse programs, a feed mode and a night mode. I'm very happy and do plan on buying another when the other MP10 stops working. For the price of a wet side, I can get the whole thing. The only issue I had was when I removed the pump head from the saltwater and let it dry out. Since it was only in the tank a few days I didn't need to clean it and just dropped it back in when I was re-installing it. The propeller didn't spin and I thought maybe I had a dud. However, it was just stuck and all I had to do was spin it manually and it worked just fine. I have not had to do this again and I attribute the sticking propeller to dried salt creep and not an issue with the pump itself.“Loud” is a relative term. I get that. I’m comparing it to an MP40 or a Gyre 350. This thing is loud compared to those. It moved a decent amount of water but didn’t work for what I wanted. So far so good, been running for about 2 months. I just use the power head function, but it’s quiet and I have it turned about half way up in my 20 gallon reef.I bought my first Jebao OW-40 used 3 years ago and it’s still working great. One of my other wave makers went out and thought I’d get another one, runs for 5 min and then quits. If you plug the power adapter into the pump it sparks every time (see pic from slow motion vid I took). People either love or hate these because they either work great or don’t work at allI bought two ow-10’s to replace a older wp-10. And I have to say WOW the new OW models are amazing. They are smaller and have more power than my WP. They are truly the size of a golf ball. I have a 32 bio cube heavily stocked with corals. I was going to to get the ow-25 and I’m a glad I didn’t The 10’s have plenty of power. I actually have them set to 50% and they are right at the point of blowing the sand at 50%. They have amazing flow And quite my corals flow with the wave perfect. I have read Some reviews that say they aren’t powerful. I have been in this hobby for many years. I have been very happy with Jebao products they Aren’t the big name brand they get the job done. I have only had these ow’s for a week so I can’t comment on longevity yet. I did however have my wp model for years with no issues. Perfect size wavemaker for a 32 bio cube. Very happy with purchase so far. Hope this helpsIt lasted 3 months. I purchased in December 2021. Today is March 30 2022No lights no nothingit did not come with power adapter for australia
