I bought the small fork as a test piece for purchasing a full set of serving pieces from this line. I was a bit disappointed considering the cost of these pieces. The end caps on the top and the bottom of the plastic handle are not the same metal as the actual fork portion. It is different in both color and texture (as well as having a rough line down the middle where it's joined), and is different enough to be distracting, making the whole fork look cheaper. It was also easy to push the top end-piece off the plastic so it rattles around now... presumably an extra drop of glue during assembly would kept the piece in place. For the cost I would expect the fork tines to be a bit more polished and curved on the edges, it very much gives off a "stamped" feeling, like cheaper silverware, though the metal of the fork itself seems a good qualify, my 3yo was able to bent the tines by sticking two of the forks together and twisting for just a second when I wasn't looking!I love the aesthetic of them and really wish I could be excited about them, because now I've had to go back to the drawing board on finding serving pieces. It is really hard to find companies that make so many different pieces in the same style, but I'm really glad I bought one first before I blew $400+ on a set, because these just aren't worth the cost. I got one in the white and one in the tortoise pattern to see which went with my dishes better, I'm glad I wasted the money on samples, as presumably it would have been more expensive to ship the whole set back if I had gotten them all as originally planned! Anyway - my 3yo is having a great time with his two special tiny forks now!
