These plates have a substantial weight to them, making them feel sturdy (but not clunky), although you might want to know this: I would think they'd be too heavy to hold comfortably in one hand for any length of time at some stand-up party. Otherwise, they are certainly suitable for casual / family / everyday use, which is exactly what I wanted. I haven't had them long enough yet to know if they are prone to chipping or cracking. I do like the color, the glaze, and the feel of the plates, as well as the 6" diameter. I would recommend these without hesitation.These are just what I wanted!! Beautiful sunny color!!Beautiful true black dinner plates with a straight lip around them. I haven’t washed them yet, but they are study, but not too heavy. Many plates come in more of a dark gray, these are true black and a great addition to my table. All plates came intact and I had no issue with breakage.I love the lip design and weight of these plates. However was dissappointed to have scratches from forks and butter knives on them after the first use. I got the yellow ones so it's possible the lighter color shows all the scratch lines more.These plates came pretty well packed, unlike some others I have ordered from Amazon, and the color is a pretty buttercup yellow.But they are thinner than I would have liked causing me to feel as though they would be easily chipped or broken. The color, though quite pretty, does not compliment the deeper yellow I already have of another brand so, for these reasons, I am returning these plates from Swuut.Good quality. I ordered yellow. They’ve only been used a few times and run through the dishwasher twice but as soon as I used a knife and fork on them they scratched (same with the white ones I purchased). Was super disappointed in this as otherwise seemed great. They are a little heavy, however they aren’t crazy heavy.Was attracted to the style - plain yet contemporary. Should have paid attention to those who said after first use black marks. Looks terrible. They will be expensive catch basins for my planter pots. Do not recommend at all. They don't even come with any stamping on the underside to tell you if they are microwaveable, brand, nothing.
