We have been searching for a good bread box for quite a while. We got a few different ones before this one and we didn't like any of them at all. They were either an actual box with a lid that didn't fit more than one loaf of bread or were just poorly set up to where they didn't work well at all. Many of the other boxes just seem like they are in the way on the counter. We got this bread box about a month ago and we absolutely love it! It is perfectly sized and the set up is really great. I love the double layer setup and you can fit so much bread in this box. We even are able to sit bread on top of the box if needed and it doesn't get in the way or fall off the top. We put this box under our kitchen cabinets and it is nicely out of the way. The doors are super easy to open while still having a magnet on them to keep them shut. There is so much space to keep bread organized and I have never run out of space. Great buy!Assembly was ok. Most of the material is pretty sturdy wood, but the back panel is a very thin sheet of wood that came snapped. We glued it back together, and since it doesn't need to be airtight, it wasn't a dealbreaker, but it was annoying. The bottom container has a nice seal and kept our fresh loaf in good condition for a couple days (bread doesn't usually last much longer than that in my house). The top container doesn't seem to fit exactly to the frame, but maybe that's intentional?? The thermometer and humidity detector was really off until we took out and put back in the batteries--now the temperature at least seems accurate. It looks lovely and it makes good use of vertical space, but there were certainly some defects.
