Convinced my wife to abandon using our own coffee in a Keurig refillable K-cup and try this. Did side by side comparison and the Moccamaster was much better. K cup only holds about 8 gm, while this uses twice as much with much better extraction. Coffee is very smooth with no bitterness. Can vary grind size to adjust strength. Simple to use and brews a 10 oz cup at a final temp of 170F, 10F higher than Keurig. This is an attractive, timeless design with high reliability and ability to repeat the process with no detectable variation. My experience with Keurig machines have not been good and their customer service has been atrocious.
