Some users complain about closing the lid.To them I would say, think about what you are doing.The lid has a spring loaded tab, push it in gently as you close the lid, when the lid isclosed all the way, release the tab, SIMPLE.Don’t be in a hurry, it’s a great little machine.I use both the coffee pods and the basket. I like the large size of the basket.Kirkland (Costco), has drinking water by the case, and I buy the small, 8oz bottles.Super handy for making one cup at a time.Have fun - ggI’m missing the capsule to this coffee machine. Please send me oneIt was great for a little bit, it was easy , fast , easy to clean, but I had to return mine after only couple of cups of coffee it would only make half of cup . I done everything to that they for troubleshooting, it was easy too. I cleaned it like they said, it worked for a few cups, then went back to only give half a cup. Mom had used a 6 0z size, she has only 3 cups in the morning and 3 at night. It was perfect until it would only make half, think the pump was bad. But the company responded fast and refunded fast too. Not could at reviews so hope that this okay. If you need something just for a few cups of coffee this would be perfect. Coffee would not brew due to the lid issue. I notified seller of the issue and I got a fast response for a refund or replacement at no cost. I asked for a replacement and I think i received my new coffee maker the next day. The new coffee maker works great no issues. He emailed me a return label to send the defective one back. Customer service is great & fast.I bought this for my office and just couldn't swing the price of a Keurig. I took a chance even though some reviews were mixed. I love it so far. It makes great coffee and it is not loud. When the small Keurigs came out, I found them to be ridiculously loud and expected the same from this. It isn't even as loud as my large Keurig at home. I can make my favorite Dark Magic coffee and it comes out great. I feel like buying them for everyone I know! It has a small profile. It is just terrific.I like it because it takes up less space then my big one. It does make good coffee and I like the nice hot coffee and that I can set the strength of the coffee. My 14oz coffee travel mug fit under spout, after removing metal round support. Makes coffee as good as full size Keurig maker. It is made from plastic, so good for occassional use.I will be taking this to a dorm and then back to my classroom. I love the small size and the coffee I made the first time tasted great. There is a button for bold if that is what you like. I do! I don't know about descaling yet. All in all a great little machine.
