I was very hesitant to purchase this after seeing the negative reviews and the price tag, but I ultimately decided to take the gamble. Glad I did!It was packaged well, no breakages. Got it all cleaned up and threw a batch of cold brew into the fridge. It came out awesome! But I figured I'd give it a few more uses before popping in a review.It's been 4 weeks since I bought it. Each brew lasts me about a week so I've had a good 4 brews out of it so far. When taking it out to clean and get it ready for the next brew I make sure to avoid any temperature stress to the glass. Either washing it in cold water if it's straight out of the fridge or letting it sit out to room temperature before washing. The glass has held up well, no breakages.I'm in love with this thing and, as someone who used to stop for a cold brew at Dunkin every morning before work, I know it's saved me a fair bit of money over the past month!There's really nothing bad to say other than making a suggestion for enhancements.After I brew the coffee, I pour it into another large pitcher and empty out the coffee grounds from the metal filter. I clean the metal filter and add a regular flat base coffee filter to the bottom of it and line the rest with a paper towel. Then I put it back into the gallon container and pour the coffee into the filter. This removes the small dirt-like grounds from the coffee and makes it so much better.If the maker of this would create a large filter to put inside the metal filter, for that stage, that would be such a great enhancement. But for now, I make due with an old filter and paper towels!I made my 1st batch of cold brewed coffee and this is it! The best ever - I am buying 2 for Xmas gifts for my kids!!!100% the best gadget ever!!This product has greatly improved my cold brew game. I used to just make it in a big jar and filter after. It was messy, slow and still pretty gritty. This maker is well constructed and works great producing a flavorful, pretty clean product. This smaller 1.5L one only makes about 3 servings for me (because you have to account for minus the volume of the filter and contents from the total capacity). I wanted the gallon size, but was too tall for my fridge shelves.i just got this today, but i noticed several people saying it did not come with directions. This is the first thing i saw when i opened the package. It I am getting ready to use it. It seems well made and easy enough to use. It even comes with a wrench so you can take the spigot off and clean itI can say I am now a total cold brew addict now that I’m making my own. This is a perfect set up- simple, easy to make enough for the week, easy to clean with the wide mouth jar. Get some.We bought two of these. One for cold brew coffee and one for detox infused water. It’s the best dispenser we’ve used. No leaks, no weird tastes. Definitely worth your money!!We go through about 2 gallons of loose leaf tea every day, so this is perfect! It never fails and is super easy to clean. I dig the little filter on the inside of the spout too :}First one I ordered I thought it was great. Made my first cold brew and it was great. Easy to use. Easy to clean. But then I noticed a crack in the glass next to the tap. I returned it and ordered another. The second one arrived again with crack - this one was much bigger and again next to the tap. The product is clearly weak in that area. So good idea, but I can’t recommend anyone buy it. Even if it arrived in tact, it would probably fail soon down the line.The quality is great, is easy to clean, and the filter for the cold brew is very very thin so you'll have no coffee bits floating in your cold brew. I used to have a cold brew bottle from Hario but it was so small, it only allowed me to make less than a litter and it was harder to clean. This is a great improvementProduct looks great but have not been able to use it. On opening the box I noticed that their is a large crack which runs from the tap up towards the writing on the front of the glass jar.I think the packaging might need to be adjusted or extra padding in the Amazon box for shipping to avoid this in future.I have used this with coffee from Aldi and some nut milk and after 24 hours brewing time the flavour was rich and mellow and the nicest cold coffee I have had in a very long time. The capacity was about 3.5L so that is a lot of coffee and after seeing all sorts of different recommendations for coffee to water ratio, I just added the whole 227gm bag of regular ground coffee. So I that makes a ratio of close enough to 15:1 by weight. It is well made and very easy to clean. Highly recommendedI am really pleased with this product no bits in my cold brew and its pretty cool that it has its own tap I rate this product highly no problems as of yet
