I purchased this button maker based on low cost and good reviews, and I was happy I did. It was really easy and fun to use. I only had 3 defective presses out of 100 buttons. I call that a good error rate! Quick shipping too!I was having some issues and planned on returning this. Semmed too good to be true (for a machine made out of plastic)Turns out it was user error and my pins came out great!Super easy to use! Buttons seem sturdy but fall apart fairly easily. Going to do more research on how to make them stay together! Love the product and I’m sure we will find a way to make the buttons better! The machine is awesome and super user friendlyI returned it because I bought the wrong size.Easy to use. Gotten sick a couple times during the second step. Had to pry it back openDidn’t live cutting the circle- used 2.5 circle labels with precut circle- worked out greatI got this today, and made 177 buttons. LOVE THIS. I don’t write reviews, but felt it was necessary, since I did so much research to decide on this product, and I’m grateful I did. Here’s why:1. It’s much more affordable than your average button maker. I did research on other 25mm button makers and they are on average at least $200. With this being less than $100 including 500 buttons is definitely a deal.2. Extremely easy to use! No set up, I literally made a button 2 minutes after opening the box. It takes practice of course to perfect where to align your pin to make it even, but that comes with all new hobbies. Your arm and hands do get tired after making as many as I did at once—but I may just be out of shape.3. I also did a ton of research on circle cutters to buy since I figured the one that came with this would not work, as some reviews on other Amazon button makers said they were terrible. But this one works like a dream! Circle cutters for button makers are typically tough to find, especially for 25mm, and awfully expensive—so the shock I had when I found this one worked was real. It too takes practice, I found rotating softly is easiest.4. The button maker itself is dang sturdy. I thought plastic meant cheap and brittle, but this is strong and secure, and according to some other reviews even more so than some metal ones.*for the templates. just download any from online, they’re easy to findHighly recommend this button maker, especially if you’re just starting out and wanting to sell some easy cute buttons.I’ve been making some pretty cute pins for Etsy with this machine and so far it’s working out great. Customers have said they’re well made and sturdy! Here are my tips:It takes a couple tries to figure out how to get the backs on straight, but once you get it right, make a mark on your machine so you know where to line up the pin back and you’ll be golden!I design my buttons in procreate on a 300 dpi canvas and have figured out what pixel size is good for 2.25” buttons. I’ll share in case this helps out any beginners. I make the design 850 pixels, and then create another circle that’s 675 pixels and move that layer underneath the 850 layer. Turn on clipping mask to clip your 850 pixel design to the 675 pixel circle, then you will see what will actually be showing on your button, the rest will be cut off and wrapped around the edges.I’ve been printing my designs on Epson presentation paper with my canon pixma pro-100 on matte photo paper setting, highest quality. They turn out great. I can fit 11 on a page very close together and use the provided circle cutter, which works great. Some of the edges of the designs get cut off, but it doesn’t show at all.Anyway, love this little button press and hope this is helpful!It's easy to use for buttons.
