I have an older model Xyron 500 that I've had for years. I couldn't find replacement cartridges anywhere so decided to just buy this as I am working on a scrapbook that is a gift so have time constraints. This is not as good as my older model, but I don't think it's the machine. I believe it is the adhesive cartridge that comes with it. It jams easily, the crank stops moving the item you are feeding through so you have to gently pull it to retrieve your sticker. I'm hoping when cartridges do become available, I will be able to work with this. Keeping old one just in case. The piece that pulls away inside the machine onto the smaller roller ended up a wadded mess after making just one sticker. I will be watching for cartridges however and see if that is indeed the problem.This machine works great but it comes with very little sticker material, or adhesion paper. So, unless one buys a replacement right when purchasing the machine, one might be disappointed.I had this in my Amazon cart and waited to it went on sale. I like it for making 1 or 2 stickers and one of kind stickers. Fun little sticker machine for crafts projects and sticker lovers. I would definitely purchase again as it does what I purchased it for.I like the product and does what I need it to do but it didn't was disappointed there wasn't a refill cartridge. It didn't come with any information about refills. I am finding it hard to find any info on line about refill cartridges.Great tool for a card maker. Easy to use and a great value.Lately I have been having problems with the adhesive. It's been breaking and useless for making stickers.Have had to return and Xyron hasn't been shipping refills so that is a problem. I have 6 different size Xyron machines that I use daily. Don't know what I'm going to do without refills. Spoke to Xyron and they saidjopefully they'll be sending out refills starting the end of August.I'm a bullet journaler and I like to buy stickers to commemorate going places. Not any more! Now I can make my own stickers out of anything. And I've got one-of-a-kind stickers that I made all by myself. It's super simple to use, was already set up for first time use. Did a handful of stickers - 5, 6, then boom! Paper/sticky stuff started jamming. Could not fix it, tried it three times and ended up using the whole roll. Tried product support and you tube. You're on your own with this thing. So annoyed it almost went in the bin. Internal debate now as to if I can face buying a refill and that's only because it worked so well with vellum and adding vellum quotes to cards. Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.I was a little disappointed that only had 10ft of Permanent sticker and when received the film in the machine was very mangled up on the roller before I even used it. After about an hour of sorting that out and losing properly another couple of feet I got it going - so fingers crossed I may have sorted it out. But great machine working well.So...you put an image into the machine turn a dial...image disappears and then reappears on a HUGE bit of backing paper, and is now sticky on the reverse....why not just apply glue to the reverse of your image? ...this would be much cheaper and MUCH more environmentally friendly!
