This waffle iron makes really cute tiny waffles. I like the fact that it is really compact (I have a very small kitchen) and is easy to clean and easy to use. The plates come out easily (and pretty intuitively) and are easily reinstalled after cleaning them. I appreciate the little brush and wooden spatula that accompanies it. However, it takes a really long time for the waffles to get brown and crispy -- they cook to "done" quickly enough, but I like waffles because of the crispiness, and it takes a very long time to get there with this unit. For some of the waffles I made, they weren't so much waffles as square donuts, because I couldn't pour much batter in without it leaking out the sides as it cooked -- this meant there wasn't enough batter to fill the entire plate, so the elevated portions just produced square holes. I will probably continue to use this unit, though not as often as I'd originally planned, because it does work -- I just have to plan extra time for cooking.
