I have yet to perfect my scoring skills on my sourdough loaves. I don't have any trouble making my primary slash on the loaf to allow for expansion but the razor blade on my lame is a wee bit awkward for making smaller, more detailed ornamental cuts and markings.These disposable scalpels are exactly what I needed. They are individually wrapped, lightweight and really easy to manipulate. I'm looking forward to scoring a new loaf with one of them tomorrow.I think these blades would be great for any sourdough baker to have in their arsenal.
